Man dies shortly after drinking a bottle of spirit, See what a Doctor said about the incident

Recently, a video leaked online showing an unidentified man swallowing a whole bottle of spirit. According to stories, he was persuaded to consume it following a wager. Regrettably, he died shortly after consuming a whole bottle of spirit.

Following the video's global success, a Nigerian physician rushed to his official Twitter profile to warn everyone about the hazards of such behaviour and also to speculate on the possible cause of his death. According to him, consuming a large amount of alcohol in a short period of time is VERY RISKY and could prove fatal. Your liver has a capacity of approximately one unit of alcohol per hour, which is approximately two units in a can of beer.

A modest 25ml shot of spirit is about equivalent to one unit, whereas a small glass of wine is roughly equivalent to one unit.

You CAN DO NOTHING to increase the rate at which your liver breaks down alcohol.

When it is unable to adequately process it, it "overflows" and begins to infiltrate other organs.

It has the potential to enter your brain and stop your breathing, to decrease your blood sugar to dangerously low levels, to induce sudden heart failure, and so on.
